"Designers are really expensive."

The first question clients usually ask is: how much does a branded website cost? The answer is: less than you might think.

I have a minimum of $750 in place for any new website design projects. I create a custom estimate for each site based on its complexity, so fees will vary.

One of the main obstacles to launching a new site is budget. People assume that working with a designer is REALLY expensive, so they decide to do it themselves. What happens next often falls into two categories:
  1. They try, but get frustrated — and the site never gets built. But they'll get to it "one day."  If this is you, don't blame yourself. You have an actual business to run, which is why you hire a guy like me!
  2. A site gets slapped together quickly. It's online, but that's about it. It's not helping their business and may actually hurt by creating an impression that the business isn't professional or trustworthy.

Neither option makes sense for a small business or independent professional trying to compete in a crowded marketplace. Think of me as your "secret weapon."

Working with me saves time, frustration, and ultimately money. I charge a flat fee that includes everything in my estimate. By hiring me, you're getting the benefit of my 2-decades-plus of experience at NYC advertising agencies. Everything I do is based on solid marketing knowledge. My estimate also includes important back-end stuff like transferring your domain from old site to new, adding keywords, social media and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) so people can find and share your site more easily.

What is included in an estimate?
  • I do a free consultation (no strings attached) where we discuss your business, your wants/needs for a new or re-designed site, your budget and as many details as possible (number of pages, complexity of the site, how much existing material you have, etc.)
  • I'll ask for links to any sites you really like, which can be easier than describing your "ideal website."
  • Then I'll send you an estimate that includes everything we talked about, along with my price for the work. Hosting fees are paid directly by the client, meaning I don't mark them up. My fee is for my time and expertise only.
  • If we agree to work together, I'll send a contract that lists the "legal stuff" and send an invoice for 50% of the fee to get started. The other half is due when the job is totally complete.
  • We can always negotiate fees for future phases of your site, so you don't have to do everything at once.
